Scientific research represents nowadays a basic pillar in the progress and development of nations. King Abdulaziz University has been keen to move forward in the establishment and taking care of research centers. It also urged teaching staff to participate in distinguished scientific research. To achieve this goal, financial and moral awards were set, so that scientific research can play a vital role in the development of Saudi Arabia to become one of the leading countries in science.
In accordance with the university attitudes towards pushing and increasing distinguished scientific research, the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology established the unit of Global Research and Scientific Partnerships (GRASP) in order to contribute in achieving the research objectives of the University and the Faculty. Besides, it builds bridges of scientific cooperation and links with universities and research centers to make agreements, and practical research partnerships, in order to discover and create new knowledge about technological and computing topics so that research can develop high value new products and distinguished services.
