Information Technology Master Program

About the Program

The master’s program offered by the Department of Information Technology at FCIT provides students with opportunities to enhance their knowledge of current topics in the field of information technology. The program is flexible and allows students to gain in-depth and extensive knowledge in the field of information technology. The program includes the basic courses in addition to a specific field of specialization. The basic programs are selected to provide an expansion in the field of information technology.

Program’s Mission

To produce high-quality specialists and researchers in the field of information technology who will serve the community and enrich the research body. The department will provide its graduates with the knowledge and skills to master, improve, and localize the IT solutions that address industry needs.

Program’s Goals

  • To produce highly competent Information Technology graduates to pursue a higher degree or career in research in the field of Information Technology.
  • To provide required knowledge and professional skills to the graduates in the domain of Information Technology to serve the needs of local industries and business.
  • To prepare the graduates with sufficient research and scientific skills that promote industry collaboration for scientific and practical innovations.
  • To equip the graduate students with cutting-edge IT technologies to enable entrepreneurship.

Program Learning Outcomes

  • K1: Demonstrate a critical understanding of the advanced body of knowledge, including contemporary research and development issues relevant to a particular discipline or profession of Information Technology.
  • S1: Solve complex real-world IT problems by applying the learned principles, theories, methods, techniques, and specialized technologies to provide innovative and creative solutions.
  • S2: Enrich and develop scientific competencies, conducting advanced research activities and independently executing professional IT-oriented projects to keep pace with modern-day science and technology requirements.
  • S3: Communicate effectively in various forms such as books, reports, and scientific articles to disseminate accurate and specific information or results to exhibit excellency in leading research and development.
  • V1: Commit to professional and ethical responsibilities while involved in self-development, teamwork, and leadership in the localization of IT-oriented enterprises.
