Admission and continuity in college

Admission to the bachelor programs in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology is through the direct admission mechanism approved by the University Council, starting from the academic year 1445 H. (September 2023). Students apply to scientific colleges after graduating from high school, and their admission depends on the number of available seats, students’ desires, and preference according to the student’s weighted percentage (40% for the high school GPA + 30% for the General Aptitude Test + 30% for the Scholastic Achievement Admission Test).

Once students are admitted to the College, they have to fulfill the following conditions to continue in the college:

  • Successfully passing the first-year courses at the university. (Students are not entitled to withdraw any course during the first year).
  • The GPA at the end of the first year should not be less than (3.75 out of 5).
  • Achieving the minimum weighted score in the following courses:

If the student fails to satisfy the conditions, they will be allowed to transfer to another college, providing that the student has fulfilled the other college requirements and they can accept transferred students.
