About the program

The cybersecurity master's program aims to: (1) Develop the skills and experiences of students in cybersecurity, (2) Enhancing the research movement and scientific cadres in information security and cybersecurity, (3) Direct research in cybersecurity towards the service of society and the nation, (4) Design, implement and apply cybersecurity in distributed networks and computerized systems using the latest methods and tools.

Therefore, the program prepares the student to study an overview of cyberspace, define the scope of cybersecurity, define the classification of information, and divide the system. It also includes estimating the value of confidentiality, integrity and availability of information, and covers the structure of cybersecurity, strategy, services, hardware, software, and cloud services. This program also deals with examining security problems in critical infrastructure, discovering and avoiding cybercrime and cyber terrorism, and it also includes the need for companies to align their security with business needs. The business continuity methodologies and resilience to cyber-attacks will also be analyzed. Many industry-related case studies will be studied and discussed. The focus will be on how to encrypt and implement security systems to maintain privacy and security in electronic communications and computer networks. Legal restrictions and ethical guidelines will also be taught and imposed on technical systems, in addition to intellectual property protection. These concepts, skills, ideas and experiences gained to develop an applied research project will be combined with the presentation of important analyzes and critical analyzes in formulating an applied research problem in the graduation project in business information systems.
